| HDS, actively taking part in SIWA Charity Bazaar 2006-11-27 HDS, Actively Taking Part in SIWA Charity Bazaar  “Let’s have a pleasant experience of Korea” HDS (Hyundai Shipping) took part in '2006 SIWA and Diplomatic Community Bazaar' organized by the diplomatic community and the Seoul International Women’s Association (SIWA). As a platinum sponsor of the annual bazaar, HDS made an active support by providing vehicles and human resources and also making its own booth in the bazaar hall. The charity bazaar has been held by SIWA at the end of a year since 1978 with various articles from the world. This popular event has become one of the largest fundraising efforts in Seoul, bringing together the Korean and expatriate communities to support a wide range of charities. The profit is given to about 50 welfare facilities and charities in Korea, helping needy neighbors.   With its booth, decorated with Korean traditional trifling article such as Ji-Ge, carrying rack and Kee, winnow, HDS attracted the foreign participators’ attention. HDS enabled them to make the Korean traditional rice with a rice-cake mallet by themselves. HDS also provided them with photo services with the unique characters as Dae Jang Guem, Hwang Jinee and so on. All of the margin will be donated to its ‘Overseas Korean School Book Donation Program’ fund. |
