| Hyundai Shipping, Donating Books to Instituto Coreano Argentino(ICA) 2006-07-14 ICA Library Designated as ‘Sejong Library’ Open to the Public  “A good book makes a good person.” Instituto Coreano Argentino(Chief Director, Kim Junho) held a ceremony of book donation (by Hyundai Shipping, Rep. Jo Myeonghyun) and opening of Sejong Library on Feb. 5th(Mon, 11:00 a.m.). In the presence of Ambassador Hwang Uiseung, Park Insuk, the head of Education and Culture Center, Chief Director Kim Junho, Shin Sanghyeon, the former chief director, and about 200 students, Jo Myeonghyun, the representative director of Hyundai Shipping donated 2,850 books and 5,270 notebooks to the school. The book donation was done by Gilbut, a publisher, the Beautiful Foundation, and Hyundai Shipping. “Books take children to the world of their imagination, sorrow, and joy and thus encouraging children to read a lot of book can greatly influence their life,” said Gladys Bassa, the principal of the school. “We need two columns for balanced development of the Korean society, which are economy and education & culture,” said Ambassador Hwang Uiseung. “The Korean society of 40-year history has achieved various developments so far. As ICA has contributed to the cultural development of immigrants, Sejong Library will play an important role in developing Korean culture also.”  “ I see the bright future in your faces,” said Jo Myeonghyun, the rep. of Hyundai Shipping. “As a good book makes a good person, I hope these books can help you grow into a good person who can contribute to the society and be proud of being a Korean.” “Adding to the 8,000 book we had, we received more books from Overseas Koreans foundation last year, 515 books from Ministry of Culture & Tourism, and now 2,850 book from Hyundai Shipping,” explained Noh Eunju, the vice-principal. “In order to share this cultural asset with people, we named the library “Sejong Library” and had the opening ceremony.” Ambassador Hwang Uiseung, Chief Director Kim Junho, Myeonghyun, the representative director of Hyundai Shipping, and a school commissioner in the country performed the tape-cutting ceremony, officially announcing the opening of the library.  Meanwhile, Hyundai Shipping is preparing the second book donation plan, including books for adults this time. < Hyundai Shipping donated 2,850 book to Instituto Coreano Argentino(ICA) in February as it promised. ICA had the ceremony of the book donation on 5th at the school, encouraging residents and students to read books. Meanwhile, ICA opened Sejong Library with the books that it has collected so far.
